Hey guys! In April, I showed you the magical transformation of my master closet done by Closet Factory, Austin! Since then, I have spent weeks organizing and reorganizing my space, and you guys every morning that I walk into it, I still feel AWE-struck by its beauty. It’s become my favorite room in the house! But I will say that after the install, I found myself almost overwhelmed with all of the excellent storage room it had. And I started asking myself questions like Where should I hang my shirts, should I separate them by season or color, to fold jeans or to hang them, do I hang skirts with dresses…etc.! Who knew organizing could be so tricky?

After much fretting, I decided to tackle the closet one section at a time, SHOES FIRST! I organized my shoes by practicality, sneakers on the bottom, flats, sandals, boots, then heels. Clothing was a little trickier! In the long section I put coats and vests in the back, next came long dresses, short dresses, and lastly skirts! In my remaining two hanging parts, I organized my shirts. On the bottom, I hung my day to day shirts and on the top my dressy or high-quality blouses. Knits and sweaters were folded and organized in the shelf section, along with my jeans. In my two drawers, I organized bras, underwear, and socks. I placed my purses on the shelves by the closet door for easy access. I also included clear bins for donating and selling. I’ll link the bins from Container Store here. But even with all of my clothing, shoes, and purses organized in the space, I still have plenty of room to grow! I never knew what a difference a proper organizational system could make! If your closet needs help, I can’t recommend the fantastic team at Austin Closet Factory enough! They are organizational pros!
